The Bourgneuf 2013 has a very sensual bouquet with raspberry, kirsch and a touch of Provençal herbs. With continued aeration there is a hint of seaweed that surfaces. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft opening. There is decent weight to this Bourgneuf with dark plum and raspberry fruit, although it is missing a little structure towards the finish. Nevertheless, one can appreciate the easy-drinking style and it finishes with some swagger, dressed in some lovely strawberry fruit.
