The Balvenie Distillery is located in the north of Scotland, midway between the big cities of Aberdeen and Inverness, specifically in the town of Dufftown.
Established in 1892 by William Craft, the distillery has more than 100 years of experience in the production of single malt whisky.
The production of whiskey at Balvenie is based on The Five Rare Crafts, which makes Balvenie one of the most "handmade" whiskies. The Five Rare Craft means i.a. that you use your own barley, have your own painted floor, produce your own copper boilers and wooden barrels, etc
Hands-on on the entire process makes Balvenie something completely unique among single malt whiskies.
