Margaux is located in the southern part of the Medoc region, sandwiched between Haut-Medoc.
The subsoil contains mostly only gravel and sand
Wines from Margaux are known for their highly perfumed fragrance, offering violets, roses and cedar wood. In addition, the wines are silky smooth and delicate, but still has a long aftertaste.
Wines from Margaux can be drunk earlier than other Cru wines, i.e. after 7 to 12 years. The best wines in the best vintages can be stored for more than 20 years.
