♫ Now it's Easter again ... ♫
According to tradition, Easter - just like Christmas - is a holiday where we sit down at the table with friends and family for several days in a row and sort out the world situation over a bite of bread. In many families today, lunch is replaced by an Easter dinner, typically with fish as a starter and lamb (or similar) as the main course.
And which wines should you choose for the Easter dinner? The reds must be solid and have some "bottom draw", and here the Italians work fantastically well. Try e.g. our new Amarones from Bolla.
The whites must be able to match a wide range of fish and shellfish. Austrian Riesling or Grüner Veltliner are perfect here, alternatively our new South Tyrolean from Alto Adige. Try e.g. the wine made from the Kerner grape (a fusion between Riesling and Trollinger, which is a German red wine grape). Pure world class!
Another of the Easter traditions is that it is there that we start drinking rosé, and here it is almost impossible to avoid the genuine product from France. Provence is considered the cradle of rosé wine.
