AH Riise is a very sweet and popular rum in Denmark with a wide selection ranging from Navy Rum to Christmas rum. AH Riise is a Danish-related sailor rum named after Albert Heinrich Riise from Ærø, who was on Skt. Thomas as an apothecary in the years 1838-1878, when Denmark had dominion over the West Indian islands. The rum, which according to the producer is based on a number of AH Riise's rum recipes at the time, is distilled and stored primarily in the Caribbean
Over the years, AH Riise rum has been honored and awarded medals at numerous competitions and exhibitions. The first was given to Riise in 1893 at the World's Fair in Chicago, which was held on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's discovery of America.
