Beaujolais Nouveau

A red wine produced from the Gamay grape in the Beaujolais region of France. A very young wine that only ferments for a few weeks before being released on the third Thursday of November. This day was previously marketed intensively around the world with a race to get the first bottles out.

In the past, e.g. Thorkild Thyrring wine to Denmark with political card.

We celebrate the day with tastings of the new vintage as well as tastings of the French sausage from the famous butcher in Fleurie.
