The Ropiteau Frères winery was founded in 1848 in Meursault and is today one of the largest producers of barrel-aged white wines in Burgundy. The house's cellars are some of the most beautiful in the region, and formerly belonged to the Hospices de Beaune and date back to the 17th century.

The district of Meursault is located in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy and the vineyards that lie south of the city of Beaune are about 372 ha. The district is known for its white wines and makes up 95% of the production in the area.

The grapes are all harvested by hand.

Vinification: The wine is pressed and aged in French oak barrels for about 18 months, of which about 20% are new.

Production: It makes 2,900 bottles of wine annually.

Smell & Taste: The wine has a lovely nose with hints of oak and buttery notes. The taste is fresh and generous with hints of citrus, fat and minerals.

The wine is good to drink now, but can be stored for up to 10 years under good conditions.
Serving suggestion: approx. 8 - 10 ° C for tasty fish and shellfish dishes, or white meat.
