Peter Sisseck did not contribute to the production of QS2 in vintage 2012, but you can clearly taste his magical hand in setting out the guidelines for the wine, which exudes good craftsmanship and exceptional growing conditions. Like Quinta Sardonia and Sisseck's Pingus, the wine is produced biodynamically with maximum focus on quality being created in the vineyard and not in the wine cellar.

QS2 is composed of Tempranillo and a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The wine is aged for 15 months, partly in French oak casks and partly in amphora. The aroma offers cherries and blackcurrants with notes of licorice and hazelnut. The taste is quiveringly intense with notes of creme de cassis and complex nuances of minerals. The finish is noticeable, but in no way overpowers the wine's remarkable complexity. The wine is most reminiscent of a very large Ribera del Duero wine.

Grapes: Tempranillo as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, malbec, Petit verdot and Cabernet franc. Aging: 15 months in French oak and amphora.
