The Eugène Klipfel winery in Barr was founded in 1824 by Louis Klipfel. Today, the house is still run by the same family. The man in charge is André Lorentz, and he has his son Jean-Louis to help him.

Eugène Klipfel grows all the well-known grapes from Alsace and also produces fantastic wines from famous Grand Cru fields.

It is an obvious wine for most dishes with fish and shellfish, for example sushi or other specialties rooted in Asian and not least Japanese cuisine.
