The vintage
An excellent vintage with fast-growing grapes and vines with a relatively high yield.
The long cool growing season ensures full development of the Pinot Noir, followed by the warm weather at the beginning of September. In mid-September, the Pinot Noir was ready to be harvested.
This Pinot Noir shows an excellent quality with ripe berries and fine crispness.
The harvest
The grapes are harvested at night and in the cool morning hours in order to emphasize the crisp, balanced fruit taste.
The wine ferments for five to seven days, after which a touch of Zinfandel is added to enhance the red fruit flavors, while Merlot provides a lush suppleness and spicy note.
Smell & Taste
Ripe red raspberry and cherry aromas give a nice feeling on the palate. Finely balanced with a crisp yet silky finish. The wine goes well with grilled chicken, pasta
tossed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomato and herbs.
