CA' de' Rocchi is a historic series of wines produced by the Italian Cantina Tinazzi. This series shows the absolute best of what Veneto can achieve. The series includes this exclusive Ripasso in "Limited edition"

This wine is made from 80% Corvina, 15% Rondinella and 5% Molinara.

The grapes are specially selected and harvested by hand on the hilly, sun-facing slopes at an altitude of 150 - 300 meters in the Valpolicella area. After harvest, the grapes are fermented for 10 days together with their skins. In February of the following year, the wine is re-fermented ("Ripasso") on the remains from the production of Recioto Amarone. This helps to give this Ripasso its characteristic taste and complexity. After fermentation, the wine is aged in a mixture of American and French oak barrels for 12-18 months.

The wine has a rich and intense red color in the glass and both taste and aroma offer prunes and ripe cherries with fine tones of leather and spice. The taste is clean and very inviting with gentle touches of wood from the barrel ageing. The aftertaste is characterized by finely balanced and soft tannins.

This wine is an excellent companion to classic Italian dishes with a little sweetness, e.g. risotto, meat or as an accompaniment to the grill.
