Claymore Wines was established in 1997 by Anura Nitchingham, who is a trained anesthesiologist. Nitchingham studied in Liverpool and thereby became a massive fan of the city's football team "The Reds". From here he draws inspiration for most of his wines, including "YNWA".
In addition, Nitchingham is interested in hard-core rock and it is from this that the second part of his wines are named, including "London Calling", inspired by the legendary album from The Clash (1979).
