Lagavulin is produced on the island of Islay, which is located on the west coast of Scotland. Islay is one of the world's leading regions for the production of whiskey and every year whiskey enthusiasts make a pilgrimage to the island to taste the expensive and delicious drops.
The island is known for the very special peat that is used to dry the wet malt in the kilns. From this comes a very special smoked whisky, which is precisely the island's trademark.
Lagavulin is no exception and it is the most smoked whiskey that we have in the range.
Ardbeg, Bowmore and Laphroaig can be mentioned among the island's other well-known distilleries.
