Veneto is Italy's third most productive region. Along with Piedmont and Tuscany, some of Italy's best-known wines come from here: Soave, Valpolicella, Ripasso and, not least, Amarone.
With its location in Northern Italy, the protection of the Alps, the warmth and mildness of Lake Garda, and the continental mildness of the plains create extremely favorable conditions for wine production in Veneto.
The three most used red wine grapes are Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, all of which are used for the production of Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone.
The most used grape for the production of white wine is Garganega, which is used in, among other things, Soave.
