This is a rare blend for La Grande Année, normally they use 70/30 but for only the 2nd time (1st time was 2007) they have made it with 61/39.

2014 La Grande Année appears elegant and fresh and youthful in taste and aroma, and the intense and beautiful bubbles refresh nicely. It still has a good depth and is suitable for parties and colors.

The relatively large proportion of Pinot Noir gives the wine power and plenty of fullness, and in balance with the Chardonnay grapes, the finished Champagne achieves fantastic complexity and the possibility of long aging.
