Feist Colheita
Colheita means harvest and as bottled vintage it is wine from one and the same year. But a colheita must age at least 7 years in small casks and preferably more. The more years, the more developed. Therefore, the specified bottling date is important. Colheita is ready to drink when it is bottled, but many believe that they gain further by storing it in the bottle.
The story of Feist starts in Germany, moves on to England and then to Portugal. In 1836, the two German cousins H. and CJ Feist traveled to London, where they founded the company with a view to trading in port wine. The trade went quite well, so in 1870 Feist opened an office in Porto. During the Second World War, the office in London was unfortunately hit by German bombs, and then all business was transferred to Porto.
