Submissions from 689 Cellers in California, or rather Napa, are extremely harmonious wines, each with their own special power and fullness. The winery's name 689 is not entirely coincidental. Actually quite the opposite. In 2008, Curtis McBride and Kent Rasmussen collaborated, after each of them had produced and sold wine for many years.

Kent Rasmussen is an extremely well-known and highly respected name in wine production. His philosophy behind wine production is a collage of tradition, passion, discipline and spirituality. He is involved in everything, both in the field, the production itself, the business part and the sale of the wines.

Their connections with excellent winegrowers throughout California give them grapes of the highest quality, superior to many others on several parameters.

Curtis McBride and in particular Kent Rasmussen have traveled extensively in the Far East, and were both inspired by Chinese numerology. SIX EIGHT & NINE are considered happy and positive elements, which combined reflect balance and harmony in a unified whole.

And all this can then be passed on in the finest way to their newest wines Submisssion. Because this is truly about harmony and balance. This is a fantastic Chardonnay (fat cream with a big yellow blob of butter in the middle, with added nuts and lots of ripe tropical fruit) and a refined Cabernet Sauvignon (one of those wines that will bring you to your knees in seconds)
