Over the past 20 years, Chile has undergone a fantastic quality development. Continuing this development should be difficult, but surprisingly, you see more and more wines from this particular country coming to the top at the various wine tastings around the world. Almost all the vineyards in Chile are irrigated, and lie on the large flat plains south of Santiago. However, you still see more and more vineyards planted on the slopes of the Andes, which provide optimal conditions for some of the white grapes, but also the red Pinot Noir.
In recent years, we have seen more and more projects with well-known foreign owners making excellent wine on Bordeaux Blend, e.g. Almaviva.
