If you are going to need wine for this year's party, take Ludv. Bjørns Vinhandel with advice !!
Our many years of experience in wine make us the perfect sparring partner in the selection of wine for your particular party. Together we ensure that you and your guests get the best wine experience and the best wine match for the food.
Choosing the right wines can be a big and challenging job. When planning a wedding, a confirmation or another major event, it is important that every detail is thought through. It is precisely these details that can make all the difference in how memorable this special day will be, for you and your guests.
The choice of wine is an important detail and not one that should be overlooked. You taste and choose the food for the party well in advance, so why not taste and choose the wine in advance, too? Don't leave this important detail to chance. In addition to tasting the wine in good time, there are many other things to consider when choosing the wine for your party.
Your guests
What kind of wine do you like? What about your friends and family? Do they prefer red, white, rosé, sparkling or a dessert wine? Will your guests enjoy one or two really nice glasses? Or is wine not that important to your guests?
Time of the day
Is your party during the day or in the evening? People drink a little less wine at parties that take place in the afternoon than at e.g. at a wedding that typically takes place in the evening.
Menu
Wine and food go hand in hand. Do you serve e.g. a delicious piece of beef with a strong sauce, why not try it with an enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah or Merlot? Is seafood or chicken on the menu? So what is better than a Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc or Chardonnay?
Time of year
The season can easily make a difference in what wine you decide to serve to your guests.
If you are hosting an outdoor reception and the weather is expected to be warm, then guests are more likely to need a refreshing, lighter wine such as a Pinot Gris or Sauvignon Blanc, rather than a heavy Chardonnay. You could also offer a Beaujolais or Pinot Noir. You might even consider a dry rosé.
What is your budget?
Since most people don't have an unlimited budget to spend on wine, you have to consider the cost. If you e.g. using your own chef, you can have a better wine selection than with an "all inclusive package".
