Cloudy Bay
The essence of Cloudy Bay's glory is that it is a wine where everyone can taste what makes it great!
Cloudy Bay is located in the northern part of the South Island in the Marlborough region. It is the largest and most important wine growing region in New Zealand and accounts for 50% of the annual harvest.
Marlborough's cool, maritime climate is tempered by a large number of annual hours of sunshine. Long, sunny days and cool nights create lively wines with fantastic flavors. The soils of the Wairau Valley are self-draining and nutrient-rich, with vast groundwater reservoirs providing high-quality water.
Cloudy Bay's vineyards are spread around the Marlborough region to make the most of the extensive diversity present in the individual microclimates and soil types. The primary varieties grown in the area are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
