The Red Collection fully encapsulates The Macallan’s aptitude for distinguished and rare single malt whiskies that celebrate the unique red colour that has a storied place in the brand’s history. The 77-year-old iteration, first casked in 1946, is only now being released for the consumption of a select few connoisseurs. A balanced blend of citrus fruits and raisins creates a nose that befits the age, while the palate holds a rich, resinous marmalade and dried fruit medley on the tongue. Savour the finish of sweet woodsmoke and tropical fruits and feel yourself satisfied that the near-century maturation has done its job perfectly.
