Cristal Rosé 2013 is made from 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay. To achieve the beautiful color and style of Cristal Rosé, Louis Roederer uses a so-called "skin maceration", where the skin from Pinot Noir is kept in contact with the must for several hours before pressing. For this wine, e.g. Pinot Noir grapes from some of the company's oldest vines, which produce extremely ripe grapes with unusual aroma concentration.
