2013 Stephen Ross Edna Valley Chardonnay

Classic Burgundian production method is used for this wine. Barrel fermentation, malolactic fermentation, stirring of sediment and sour-lye aging for 9 months in French oak. Ripe rich Chardonnay showing traces of French oak and crisp soft acidity. The wine is clear and straw yellow in colour. The nose has spicy nutmeg, brioche, freshly baked baguette and fruit notes such as fresh apples and canteloupe melon. It is full-bodied and rich in the mouth with lots of citrus peel and baked apple tart wrapped in a silky texture.
