For more than 115 years, the name of the winery Sebastiani, which is behind the Crusher wines, has been synonymous with high quality in wine production in Sonoma County, and since 1922 the Wilson family has grown grapes in Clarksburg, north-east of San Francisco.

This wine was created is created in tribute to the generational change and partnership these two well-regarded wine families have enjoyed. The Crusher is named after the point where the fruits of one family's labor literally give way to the other family.
The Clarksburg AVA (American Viticultural Area) is an exciting and growing wine region in California's Sacramento Delta, northeast of San Francisco.
The area was quickly discovered by vintners attracted by a microclimate that closely mirrors the nearby Napa Valley.
During the growing season, the very hot days are replaced by a cooling afternoon breeze from San Francisco Bay, which causes the temperature to drop by up to over 30 degrees. This cooling of the grapes gives an advanced taste, with more freshness and acidity in the wines compared to other similarly warm regions.

The Crusher Pinot Noir

This very nice Pinot Noir has a warm and inviting bouquet, aromas of wild cherries, raspberries and toasted cedar. It is an elegant wine with a silky texture and a fresh light acidity typical of grapes grown in colder wine regions. Delicate flavors of boysenberry, cranberry and light pomegranate with an aftertaste of faint cumin round off the layered complexity.

Try the wine with a mushroom risotto or grilled trout with green beans.
